Zoë

maRRose - CCC: Zoë dollOne of the many lovely and talented people I’ve gotten to know through the internet is Sarah, aka “Annaboo’s house“. To tell you the truth I could hardly believe reading in an interview she’s only been crocheting for a couple of years, because not only is her crochet work beautiful, but she also designs the most fantastic patterns.
A lot of these designs are available for free through her lovely website, others can be purchased in her Etsy shop.
Luckily for us, her talent has not gone unnoticed, because she’s been asked to write a crochet book that will be published shortly from now (you can read about it here) – how exciting is that!
maRRose - CCC: Zoë dollSome months ago she brought out her Astrid Doll-pattern and I liked this design so much, that I bought the pattern right away.
Needing a present for a sweet little birthday girl this coming weekend, I decided “Astrid” would be the perfect gift.

Oh and what a joy to make was this darling doll! I had so much fun – and thanks to Sarah’s excellent pattern writing, I sailed through the instructions.

She’s all finished now and became good friends already with the other handmade pals living in my craft room.
maRRose - CCC: Zoë dollWhilst looking at this pretty brunette, I decided “an Astrid doll” did not do her justice and that she deserved a name of her own so, please meet the lovely Zoë!
maRRose - CCC: Zoë dollAnd although I have way passed the doll playing stage, I have to admit it will be a little tough letting her go …… I’m a tad bit in love with my Zoë!

Love,

Marianne xx

    • Aw ….. thank you so much, Sarah! I never say (or write) things I don’t mean, so compliments are very, very well deserved; I’m truly amazed that you can design and write an excellent pattern for something that turns out as lovely as my Zoë! Marianne xx
