Hello you lovely crafters – I hope with all my heart that you’re still safe and doing well!
I’m here today to share a won-der-ful new crochet book with you, and I feel very lucky to be part of its book tour.
First some facts:
Title: “Cosy Crochet Blankets To Snuggle Under” (for sale: here and here)
Author: Ana Morais Soares (Instagram, Facebook, Blog)
Pages: 144, 15 patterns (text+charts+progress&step-by-step shots), crochet basics, stitches and techniques explained)
Publisher: Tuva Publishing
The book is filled with splendid projects (15 in total), beautifully photographed, superbly written and explained, both in text as well as through charts.
To me its main trait is how inspiring is it, in fact so much so: it has made me try mosaic crochet for the first time, and I LOVE it!
I’ve been following Ana on Instagram for a long time, and I adore everything she does. No surprise I was thrilled when she told me she was making a crochet book.
To tell you the truth: she has managed to even exceed my (high) expectations with “Cosy Crochet Blankets”: as I said, I think it’s amazing!
Of all the 15 gorgeous blankets in Ana’s book there were two I wanted to start right away.
The book’s very first one – “Hearts Full of Grace” – and the one I eventually decided to begin with: “Purple Mist”.
Amidst the frenzy of us moving house in 2,5 weeks, it was – and still is – so nice to work on. Thanks to sweet Gerda of Studio Koekoek I’m able to crochet my “Purple Mist” with her Lanita, the soft&delightful eco-wool she sells here.
The blanket will not be finished soon, but I love the crochet journey, so all is good.
If you want to read and see more of the book, please do visit the other participants of Ana’s book tour (here); tomorrow’s tour guide will be the talented Johanna of Mijo Crochet.
