I’m such a lucky duck (or “bofkont” as we say in Dutch;-) because last Saturday I went to another creative event and it was soooo wonderful I’m still feeling happy and hyper!
In this post I’m sharing lots of snap shots of this fabulous “Happy Hip & Stip Party” on “Happy Island” (do visit this hashtag to see even more happiness!) and I’m quite sure you will not find a single non-smiling face on one of them!
Lovely friends Annemarie / Studio Hip & Stip and Nienke / Stipstijl organised the event, and boy did they do a fantastic job!
Not only did they find the perfect location (check out “Happy Island” here), but the whole day was all about joy, happiness, friendship, laughter, great food, fun and it was SO very well organised: hats off to these two!
The gorgeous sunny day started with a short boat trip to “Happy Island” where we were warmly welcomed by Daisy and Michel (the owners of “Happy Island”) and Annemarie and Nienke of course.
After coffee, tea, and cake we all found a comfortable spot to either crochet Annemarie’s cute new pouch pattern (that you can purchase here) or work on Nienke’s beautiful (and also new) dot-art pattern (to buy, click this).
A delicious lunch was served on a barge – so cool – that took us through some pretty Aalsmeer scenery. More crocheting, dotting, and chatting followed (pure bliss!), and after drinks&snacks (plus a monumental goodie bag) we were boated back to shore and reality…
I know all the lovely people that were on “Happy Island” felt just like I did (and actually still do!): cheerful, contented, joyous (and all other synonyms for “happy”) and that reality was just a tad bit better to deal with having made such excellent memories on this splendid day!
I also want to share the presents I brought, and that I punch needled – with love – for Annemarie and Nienke (both their company logo’s). It goes to show you can punch needle close to anything; ah… I love this craft so much!
Being the two awesome girls they are, both Annemarie and Nienke asked us to “pay the happiness forward”, and I’m delighted to do this!
So it’s with huge pleasure that on their behalf I can gift 2 sets of presents, and all you have to do is let me know whether you’d like to win the crochet or dot-art package, the contents of which are (as shown in the photo below):
* crochet/haken: Annemarie’s crochet pouch pattern (Dutch) + the 2 balls of (pink) Yarn & Colors Epic to make it, OR
* dot-art/stippen: Nienke’s new dot-art pattern (Dutch) + little dish (one of these) & “Stipstijl”-tools to create it.
How marvelous is that?
So please, let me know in the comments what you’d prefer (crochet/haken or dot-art/stippen) and I’ll enter your name in this giveaway that will close Wednesday September 25, 2019 (24:00 CET). A random number generator will pick a winner. If I do not hear back from the winner within 24 hrs after notification, a new winner will be drawn. Good luck!
edit: two winners have been drawn and notified & the giveaway is closed – thank you all for participating!
PS: I’ll be back soon with yet another cool giveaway! Keep your eye on the blog (or better yet: subscribe – see sidebar, of follow via Bloglovin’, so you won’t miss any posts).
Have a great weekend,
