There’s one more reason to like “Innocent”, apart from the fact that their products are pretty tasty.
Every year they organise their “Big Knit“, where they ask people to knit little hats that fit their smoothies, and for each one sold they make a donation towards organisations that help the elderly.
Usually somewhere in January each year Innocent smoothies wearing these little hats – how cool is that – are sold in grocery stores.
They even provide the patterns and have cute ideas to start your creativity flowing on their website, so really there’s no reason not to participate in this wonderful campaign.

Luckily they allow crocheters to join in as well, and for us happy hookers there are lots of places to go on the interweb to find patterns and inspiration too – all for such a good cause!
If you’re in the UK (or want to contribute towards UK funds) this link tells you what Innocent wants you to do with your finished hats.
You can send in your UK-hats until December 12th, 2014, so there’s still plenty of time.
For you lovely lot in The Netherlands: here‘s where you can get all the information you need regarding making and sending – the Dutch cut off date for sending in your hats is December 1st, 2014.
This is where you want to click to check whether your local Innocent has a campaign like this too.
I can assure you I’ve already had a fun time making my little hats and I really like knowing my small contribution (doing something I love) may help someone in need – it made me feel pretty good!
I know will make many more – will you too?
