If you visit my blog on a regular basis, I’m sure you’ve noticed I love crochet, hence my company name: “maRRose – Colorful Crochet & Crafts”.
Although crochet usually takes center stage here, I have always liked venturing out in other creative areas as well, and so there was never a doubt in my mind to not include the “Crafts” in my name as well: “maRRose – Colorful Crochet & Crafts” sums me up perfectly.
Pretty proof of the ‘crafts’-aspect is a fun selection of free diy’s here on the blog (you can easily check them out by clicking here).

Early this year I dove into “punch needling”, and have been hooked ever since! In fact, “punch needling” is quickly moving to the very top of my “other crafts list”: I’m definitely fascinated by, and fond of this new-to-me technique.

The bird is one of my latest projects (the pattern was gifted to me by one of my workshop students – if you happen to know who the designer is, I’d love it if you’d let me know, so I can credit him/her properly).

In this blog post I already philosophized a bit about the “why” of my (and other people’s) instant fondness, and as far as I’m concerned there’s one main thing to add to that little list: the lack of having to count stitches, and total freedom to take that punch needle wherever you want it to go.

It’s great to see lots of people are joining in on the fun of punch needling, and I think it is safe to state there is quite a ‘punch needle revival’ going on.
After my first punch needle demonstration workshop at Echtstudio, I’ve been bombarded with requests from people who wanted to learn how to punch needle as well, and so the maRRose “Punch like a Pro”-workshop was born… and on the road!
I absolutely love sharing my knowledge with all y’all; given my enthusiasm (and quickly gained punch needle mileage) I’ve gathered quite a list of handy punch needle tips, tricks, ins and outs, and it’s so rewarding to teach these to a group of lovely people, and see them create their first punch needle projects.

I’ve added an overview of all upcoming workshops to the header of my blog (here), to make it easy for you to see when I’ll be teaching in a location near you. The overview will be updated on a very regular basis.

First “Punch like a Pro”-workshop that’s coming up is next Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Anja’s lovely shop “Homemade4U” in Driebruggen (from 10:00 – 12:30); there are still some spots left, you can sign up here: I’d love to see you!

If you’re scrolling further down the workshop overview, you’ll see that I’ll be teaching a couple of punch needle workshops from my own “maRRose Studio” in Amstelveen as well.
Also, as of April, 2018 I’ll be hosting a “maRRose Craft Café” on a monthly basis: just a fun, bring-your-own-project-to-work-on gathering in my inspiring studio. You can sign up for those by sending me a quick email (marianne@marrose-ccc.com).

Being creative, and sharing our creativity with like-minded people is a wonderful thing, don’t you think?

Wishing you happy and creative new week!

Love,
Marianne xx

    • Hi Ada,

Thank you for your interest in my punch needle workshops; I’m afraid I’ll be on summer break during the months of July and August – first punch workshop in Amstelveen is scheduled for Saturday September 22, 2018. It would be lovely to see you there!
