The shawl has a rectangular shape. Since both the stitch-repeat, as well as the row-repeat are given in the pattern, you can very easily adapt the shawl/pattern to any size you want.
In the extensive 9 page-pattern you’ll find clear instructions on how to do this.
Rows 1 to 5 are fully and clearly described in text and in a crochet chart/diagram and this includes the pattern’s 4-row repeat.
The borders on both sides of the shawl are part of the pattern, so you will only have to crochet the borders on the top and bottom (both short sides) of the shawl afterwards.
These too are described in text as well as in crochet charts.
The puff stitches used give a nice texture to the shawl; however, if you’re not a fan of puff stitches, an alternative is suggested in the pattern.
